Congratulations goes out to our very near and dear friends Mel and Rob on their wedding yesterday!

Mel made a beautiful bride, and Rob made an even more beautiful groom. :p

Day 310 of 365: Oh Happy Day

Today, Ian and I have been married for one whole year!

We were originally going to go to Brighton, buuutttt.......the weather was a bit "bah" and our car is in the shop having a few minor things repaired (while it's still under warranty).

So we had a lovely lunch at our local pub, and went and saw I Love You, Phillip Morris. Definitely a different kind of character for Jim Carey.

But yes....Ian and I still have an evening of tea at home, and hopefully lots of snuggle time. :)

And thank you to everyone who sent cards and/or wished us a happy anniversary! :)

Day 275 of 365: You Say You Want a Revolution!!

The photo above is what greeted me this morning when I first logged onto Facebook.

Basically, they did not like the fact that Ian's bottom was hanging out in the Snuggie photo, although, I'm sure there's MUCH worse on Facebook.

Becca gave me a good idea of doing a "censored" version of the shot, so I came up with this about an hour ago:

Also, worked on personalizing the wedding party invites for this coming July to send to all the English/European people that we're inviting. Emailed the majority of them out. Here's a sneak peek:

The photo was taken at our wedding dinner last year. We put bubbles out on the tables, and after a few drinks and going around to tables, we thought the bubbles were amazing.

Day 84 of 365: White Queen

Had my final dress fitting this evening. Nevermind my crappy hair. It's been weird lately because it's desperate for a trim (which will happen this coming Saturday).

The dress was a tent before, and now it fits light a glove. I've never had anything fit me so perfectly before.

The woman that did my alterations, Lisa, was SO excited to see me when I arrived. She said "I've been waiting for this day!" since she basically had to reconstruct my entire dress. She said "I felt like a dress maker again!" She gushed more than my Mom did when she saw me in the dress....lol.

But yeah, Lisa was afraid I had lost more weight (she said I looked thinner), and she was also afraid I didn't have enough boobage to fill out the top, but it all worked out.

So now it's hanging in my room in the new garment back which is WAY too big for my dress. My veil is pressed and looking lovely.

Now all I need is my groom arrive tomorrow and to break in my shoes a bit more...lol.

Hopefully I get some sleep tonight! We're still very worried that Ian won't get in tomorrow. *sighs*

Day 80 of 365: Oh Yes, It's Ladies Night!

Tonight was my Hen Night.

And that's the penis brownie my friend Stephanie and her Mom made for me.

It was one delicious penis...lol.

Day 71 of 365: I Put Some New Shoes On

Today was very uneventful. Was actually VERY tired, and dealing with stressful things (like, trying to get my younger brother to buy a half way decent outfit for the wedding..).

Soooo....the only picture worthy moment was when I took my NEW wedding shoes out of the box to put them on to start breaking them in.

The other ones, which I got in the mail, were WAY too big and I sent them back today. So I went to David's Bridal last night and purchased the ones you see above. Woot!

Day 64 of 365: Hey You With the Wedding Dress On

Soooo....had my fitting for alterations today. Had to go on my own since everyone was busy, but that's o.k. Took a bit longer than I expected.

Wasn't going to post the dress photos, but Beth said she wants to see, so I figure why not. lol

Here's a shot of the back. I never had one taken when I initially tried dresses on.

Then, full length (remember to look at my leg there, Beth! John Lennon! :D)

The killer though was that alterations cost more than I paid for my dress because the seamstress has to take in 4 inches worth of material, plus fixing the top so she doesn't have to take in a ton on the back, AND take in the chest. *sighs* She also told me not to lose ANY more weight until after the wedding.

Oh well.....it'll all be worth it. :)

I pick the dress up for the final fitting the 25th. I COULD'VE done all that on Friday, the 27th, but decided to spare Ian the boredom of going and dealing with the girly stuff.

Can't believe it's around the corner. YIPEE!

Day 60 of 365: Love and Marriage Go Together Like a Horse and Carriage

Yay! It's March!

And you know what that means!?!?!?!?!

I LOVE seeing those days on the calender. :D

Day 58 of 365: Doctor, Doctor.....Give Me the News...

Rainy day today. Was nice in the morning, but after the rain hit it cooled down considerably.

Had a check up with the Dr. today. Since I first saw him in November I've now lost 20 lbs. He said I should lose a bit more, which I completely agree, but I'm going to hold off now until after the wedding (since my dress fitting is the 5th and I don't want to TRY to lose after the alterations are done).

Now I must go call the probate court and courthouse before I talk to Ian.

Day 57 of 365: Shoes. Let's Get Some Shoes.

Went to the mall with my Mom and Jessie tonight to see if we could get their outfits for the wedding, and I started looking for shoes. No luck all around.

But, I DID have Taco Bell for the first time in like, 3 months. Yum.

Day 39 of 365: Grow Old Along With Me

It's official.

I'm OLD!

I bought this eye cream this evening because I'm tired of the bags under my eyes. And on top of that, I bought Metamucil. Hello! Old lady here!

*sighs*

Buttttt.....I want the bags to be reduced for the wedding......and the Metamucil is going to help lower my cholesterol (hopefully).

Day 36 of 365: I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

Met Stephanie at Red Robin this evening to have some delicious food and drinks. I needed an evening out.

We discussed my bachelorette party, what's going on with our jobs and life, the wedding, etc. I asked her about when she moved to NYC if she was scared, and she said yes, but atleast with moving to England I'll have Ian. She said "I had nobody."

So yeah...so the next weekend I have off Steph said she'll come by with a bottle of wine and help me pack...lol. Such a lovely friend. I'm going to miss her oodles.

Day 32 of 365: Sunday Morning Creep In Like a Nun

It's a new month, which means closer to seeing Ian and getting married. And now we can say "We're getting married next month!" Plus, look what the photo is this month. *sighs* Next month is Paris. I think they should've switched them around. Oh well.....the calender means a lot to me since it was give to me by Ian's Mum. She said "All your friends will be able to see the different places you've been in England." This is the only photo from England in there. Bless her.

Today was pretty uneventful. I ran like a mad woman at work. Which, btw....today is February 1st and the maintenance department STILL hasn't picked up the Christmas trees and decorations that are sitting in our activity room taking up TONS of space. We've battled some of the maintenance guys twice due to this. They're lazy sods.

Oh yeah, and Super Bowl is tonight. Big whoop...lol.

Day 28 of 365: Then I Will Say 'I Do'....

I'm cheating yet AGAIN today...lol. I didn't take these photos, BUT I DID edit them a little bit on Picnik, so does that count? And besides, the only thing eventful that happened today was 8" of snow fell, and I'm tired of posting pictures of the snow.

Sooo....since Ian ordered our rings yesterday (he's going to pick them up within the week as well!), I figured I'd post them here since, well, I'm rather fond of them already...

Day 27 of 365: Takin' Care of Business

What a day, what a day. I must say though, I got a lot accomplished.

So, woke up, put together a bunch of wedding invites to mail out. Finished getting together Ian's Valentine's Day package. Got my socks together (FINALLY) for the UKY sock exchange. Called the courthouse and confirmed the wedding date. Then I ate real fast, went to the post office, then went to Pat Catan's and looked at center piece options. (Btw...what do you think of this candle holder? I rather like it!)

Then I went to Vitorrio's to finalize the dinner menu, go over the budget, set up of the room, etc. It was awesome. And I took a picture of the room, but Lisa (one of the owners and woman I've been working with on this) didn't turn the lights on. Oh well.

So yeah...not much left now in regards to planning for the wedding stuff. Just gotta get center pieces and favors together over the next month or so. Oh yeah, and figure out seating arrangements and probably make place cards for our guests then.

Oh, and Ian ordered our rings today. YAY!

I feel bad though because whenever I talk to Ian it's all "wedding this, wedding that." Atleast today he FINALLY got to fill me in on what's been happening at work. Once everything is planned out though and whatnot conversations will go back to normal.

And I bubble wraped and packed all of my Christmas ornaments (FINALLY) that I want to take with me tonight. So now that's TWO boxes packed.

Now it's time for bed because I'm absolutely knackered.

Day 25 of 365: I like to rhyme, I like my beats funky, I'm spunky. I like my oatmeal lumpy.

No photo today. I spent the entire day in bed catching up with Ian, going over wedding things, and catching up with my Peas.

Sooooo.....my friend Jantina and I were discussing The Humpty Dance (hence the title)...and here's a Picnik edit of a photo of Ian and I.

I'm going to bed UBER early since I have to work tomorrow. Thought my cold was better (which my head is), but I had a bit of a fever earlier and now my throat hurts. So must reload the humidifier and crawl under the covers.

Day 24 of 365: Stay in Bed...Float Up Stream

Whelp.....see that above? That's where I've spent the entire day today.

I woke up this morning feeling absolutely AWFUL. I hate colds. And I'm a HUGE baby when I'm sick.

All I've done today is lay around, watch Sex and the City, and browse the same 5 websites over and over again...lol. I exchanged a few emails with Ian (who said "Be a big girl and get some sleep today....we'll catch up tomorrow"), ate some soup and a few oranges, took a load of those pills I bought yesterday, and went through a whole box of Kleenex. Yipes!

About an hour ago I finally decided it was time to take a shower, which helped a little.

So I've snuggled with Beefeater Bear, whom I got from Ian's friend Jen for my birthday this past year:

And now I've got the humidifyer going:

I think I MAY get up though and get something to eat, because I've finally REALLY got an appetite.

OH! And I think Ian and I can breathe a bit easier.....we've been concerned about money issues and whatnot for the wedding dinner, and the visa, etc. Well, my Dad stopped home to visit for a few hours, and I spoke with him....soo....what was uncertain before is now certain. So we have less to worry about *phew*

Alright, going to go grab a bite and finish up Season 6 of SATC. I LOVE those women. Either my DVDs are coming with me (since I own the whole season) or I'm going to have to get new ones when I get to England. Maybe I'll look around on Amazon this evening if I can get the season for a decent price.

Day 21 of 365: Feed Your Head

Went to David's Bridal for the last time for a few weeks tonight to pick up my comb.

Now, I've got everything needed for the wedding (well, except my shoes and possibly maybe a bracelet).

Have my fitting on March 5th. Hopefully they won't have to take my dress in TOO much to the point where they go "You should've ordered the next size down.." Eeps!

Day 18 of 365: Sunday Bloody Sunday

So, as it was Sunday, it was a boring day. I took lots of photos.

It snowed again today......no surprise, eh? This was the view from the activity room/office.

Then I was bored...but hadn't noticed in awhile how big the sucker fish got in the tank across from the activity room!

Eventually I couldn't stop looking at the clock....

....because I picked up my wedding dress after work! And yes, that's my tiny Union Jack hanging there. And yes, I'm obsessed with The Beatles..lol.

Day 17 of 365: Today I Met the Boy I'm Gonna Marry

Met with my Mom after work this evening and she and I put together the wedding invitations.

Since Ian and I are focusing more on the dinner we're having the weekend after we get married (the courthouse we're getting married at only does ceremonies on Mondays), I decided to make the larger invite the one for the dinner. Then the smaller (what's supposed to be the RSVP cards) was made into the ceremony cards for the courthouse.

They came out really sweet....and we went with the title of "English Boy Meets American Girl" love story, since reading is our thing. And they're actually white, but since I'm still learning some of the settings on my camera, the flash made them TOO bright, so these were taken without the flash.

They turned out UBER cute. And going to mail/hand them out this coming week. One task down, only a few more to go!
