Day 248 of 365: Oh Goodness *slaps forehead*

Sooo...went to update my blog tonight since I've been taking photos all week, and then I realised....

...I packed everything that would hook any camera I have up to my laptop.

Now, I just went through the "electronics box" and couldn't find the stuff, so I must've put them in another box somewhere else.

SOoooooooo.......this blog will not be updates for awhile once again...lol. I'm crap at this!

Annndd....Sky said that they won't be at our place until the beginning of December to install the phone line, so no internet for quite awhile. I'm going to go crazy. But, I shall still take photos, and will just have to do this HUGE update once we get the internet up and running.

So I guess this is "see you later" for now.

I am going to miss the internet.....

Day 247 of 365: Keeps Gettin' Better...

Went to the new place tonight to do a few things (like break down the huge amount of boxes, which I shall take a photo of tomorrow).

My brother and sister in law came by tonight to hang out and see the place for a bit. They brought delicious chocolate cup cakes from Waitrose. Mmmmm....

So what did I achieve tonight?

Well, Ian and I found old Christmas decorations that the old tenant of the house had kept, but threw them out (except for the wrapping paper). Also found what is probably mouse poop....so will need to get a trap, I think. Greaaaatttt.....

Then I unpacked a box.

Jack now has a home on the kitchen counter:



Then got out the tea towels that my Dad's fiancee got for us awhile ago....



...yay, a cat! :)

After that, I tried to put up photos on our cube shelf, but realised that we have TOO many photos. So, that will be left until we're settled in.

But, Ian is painting the bedrooms. Our bedroom is going to be purple, which I think is pretty great. :) The spare/guest/dressing room is going to have a sitting area, as well as our wardrobe and chest of drawers. I'm really getting excited about the place now. I can't wait to be in and settled though. :)

Day 246 of 365: Rub a Dub Dub

As the boys put together things (like chairs, chests of drawers, shelves, etc), I stayed in the kitchen and washed all the new things that we've bought. We're such dorks that we bought plates that match the tiling in the kitchen...lol.

The only real problem I can see is the parking situation. It's a small road, and the town is unrestricted parking, so people kept parking in front of our place. We shall see what can be done.

But met our neighbor as well....just went over to let her know that Ian would be doing the drilling. She seemed nice, and has children.

Soooo......I really didn't want to leave our house tonight...but since we don't even have a bed OR set up our account for the electricity yet, we won't spend the night until next weekend and then we're there to stay.

Day 245 of 365: Whoops-a-daisy!

Whoopsie!

Have been really busy lately and kept forgetting to update my blog. *sighs* I'm rubbish at this.

Buuuttt....I have good reason.

Today is not only Halloween, and also the 2 year anniversary for Ian and I...

...but we also got the keys to our new place!



We moved in things today, and will do more tomorrow....but thankfully we don't have to be out of my MIL's place this very instant, so we're going to move in slowly through the week.

Day 243 of 365: I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost

One of the carers said that I can do "recession friendly arts and crafts" since a few of the residents and I made this wreath all out of things that I already had (aside from the ghosts and pumpkins, which I printed off of the internet).

Not bad, really.

Day 242 of 365: Jack-O

This is Jack. My nephew, James named him because my sister-in-law bought him as a house warming present for Ian and I.

It has two meanings to us because 1) Ian and I first met on Halloween, and 2) we're moving into our new place on the holiday as well.

So he shall sit in our kitchen as a reminder of all the good things we've had together.

Day 241 of 365:

Went into Winchester today to head to the estate agent to set up a time to get our keys on the 31st. That means that we got the cottage! :)

So after we went and made our appointment, Ian and I went to The Slug and Lettuce for brunch. Ian noticed that there's a toilet specifically for handicapped Nazi's....strange.....lol.
