Day 351 of 365: Good Times

Yes, you're seeing right! That there in the middle of the lovely picture above on the bottom is Meg and Ryan!

Jamie, Reagan, Ian and I made our way down today to visit the two lovelies. Unfortunately, Alan and Matt both had to work, so we were unable to have two of the 3 husbands together. But next time we will all DEFINITELY be together.

Was lovely meeting Meg and seeing the infamous Ryan and Myst in the flesh!

And Ryan and Reagan hit it off. We'll all be at their wedding in 18 or so years. :p

We had lunch at Subway today, where we chit chatted, laughed, talked babies, and had to avoid eye contact with a very creepy, smelly, insane tramp (a.k.a. a bum in American).

But it was a good time...and thankfully the rain held out until our drive home.

So now we are back home, after eating at a really nice Chinese buffet in Swindon.

Tomorrow? Who knows. We've got shopping to do, and hopefully some Beatles RockBand to play since the guitar dongle came in the post while we were gone. :)

Day 326 of 365: Rainy Day Fun

Chris stalking...

Went down to Portsmouth with Lucy and Chris today to a WWII/D-Day re-enactment and memorabilia show. It rained, and it was a cold rain, but we all had a great time.

Chris bought a grenade, and poor Ian didn't get his rifle, but hopefully soon. Although he DID get two cool jackets.

The photo above, Ian posed with the guy who began to speak in a German accent, then switched to cockney. He was NOT one of the "actors" but was just dressed like that because that's what he likes to do. He even had Nazi rings! Some people just take it TOOOOOO far.

Afterwards, we went to The Hampshire Hog for a drink and a really good bite.

Then we went by Cheesefoot Head, where Chris took this picture of us from far away.

Was a really good day. :)

Day 160 of 365: It's Just Another Day....

Mum in the garden at King John's House

Spent the day with my MIL today.

Took her to her eye appointment in the morning, then we went to King John's House for a cup of coffee. I had a nice scone with home made fruit jam. Yum. :)

Afterwards we hit the town and the charity shops. My MIL bought some new clothes, since she's been losing weight, and a new umbrella. I just went around trying on weird clothes.

Was a very nice day, and even thought it was grey, it only rained about half the day today.

Day 159 of 365: Words of Love

My nephew James came over again to spend the day.

It was another rainy day, so he, my MIL, and I sat around watching films. James and I baked some chocolate chip cookies, and I made a traditional American lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. They enjoyed it. :)

Then we played Create-a-Word, which is a lot like Scrabble only with some spinner and a few different rules.

I lost big time, buuuttt....on one turn I pulled tiles that spelled out Ian's nickname:

I haven't called him Pugs in FOREVER....lol.

Day 153 of 365: Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

Yet another rainy day today. *sighs* Is it ever going to end?

So, what did I do to pass the time? I baked banana bread, and made a sort of chili con carne concoction in the slow cooker (which is older than me, I tell ya!).

I had a bag of crisps at lunch, and wondered if anyone else does this:

I don't know if it's a Romsey thing or what, but we tie our crisps bags in order to save more room in the bin.

Anyone else do this?

Day 139 of 365: Rain Rain Go Away

You can't tell from the photo, but it's raining.

And it's basically been raining for two days here. Mind you, we DO nee the rain because as you can see, most of the lawns are dead down here. But still.

We're supposed to get more rain tomorrow as well.

Day 132 of 365: Raaaaaiiiiinnnnn, I Dont Mind....

Today was a warm, muggy, rainy and boring day.

And I couldn't even take a nap because the house next door was having some exterior work done by the council (hence the photo.....which was snuck while they were having their lunch break).

So I went into Romsey to do a little girly shopping. My hair DESPERATELY needs to be dyed, so I went to SuperDrug to get some dye, along with more bobby pins (since my hair is finally long enough to put up), and just cruise around the charity shops in the rain. Also had to mail off a job application for an interview that I have next week.

Which, Ian had a job out in the area that I'm going for my interview on Tuesday, so I went with him so we could find the nursing home. It's a rather large home from what it looks like outside. Buuutt......Ian and I got into a bit of a tiff and barely spoke the rest of the evening. Oh well.....tomorrow should HOPEFULLY be better. If not, then I'm going to have a serious talk with him. I think he just got frustrated with me for something stupid, which happens.

Happy 3 month wedding anniversary to us then, eh?
