Whoopsie!
Have been really busy lately and kept forgetting to update my blog. *sighs* I'm rubbish at this.
Buuuttt....I have good reason.
Today is not only Halloween, and also the 2 year anniversary for Ian and I...
...but we also got the keys to our new place!
We moved in things today, and will do more tomorrow....but thankfully we don't have to be out of my MIL's place this very instant, so we're going to move in slowly through the week.

Day 242 of 365: Jack-O
This is Jack. My nephew, James named him because my sister-in-law bought him as a house warming present for Ian and I.
It has two meanings to us because 1) Ian and I first met on Halloween, and 2) we're moving into our new place on the holiday as well.
So he shall sit in our kitchen as a reminder of all the good things we've had together.

Day 241 of 365:
Went into Winchester today to head to the estate agent to set up a time to get our keys on the 31st. That means that we got the cottage! :)
So after we went and made our appointment, Ian and I went to The Slug and Lettuce for brunch. Ian noticed that there's a toilet specifically for handicapped Nazi's....strange.....lol.

Day 238 of 365: Who Let The Dogs Out?
Long day at work again today, but it was quite good and everything went well this morning with our visitors.
Before leaving tonight (after an 11 hour day) I gave the dog at work, Harry, a little snuggle. He's an adorable dog, but his farts are the WORST that I have EVER smelled before. But, ya gotta love that face.

Day 237 of 365: Ice Ice Baby
Woke up this morning, did my usual thing. Eventually got in my car to go to work and look what was on my windscreen already......ice. A very thin layer of it. It WAS blinkin' cold out this morning, but my goodness!
I told Fudge to go inside because it was so cold. She proceeded to walk under a parked car, ignoring me.
Had a long day at work today. Going to have a long one tomorrow as well.
So off to bed for me!

Day 236 of 365: Mmmm....Indian
My MIL wanted a takeaway tonight for tea, which worked out since Ian and I didn't really feel like cooking.
Above is a photo of an onion bahjee, which is excellent. :)
Work was a bit crazy today. I have lots of little things to get done by Wednesday. HOPEFULLY I can get them all taken care of.
Now..it's time to relax and drift off to dreamland here.

Day 234 of 365: Me Likey
Ian and I went into Eastleigh today to check out estate agents, since we're back to square one looking for a place.
We had an appointment though to check out a small house/cottage in a place just outside of Winchester.
This little place we fell in love with, so we're now going through the process to have it as ours (well, we'll be renting, but it'll be ours..lol).
Keep your fingers crossed and watch this space! :)

Day 232 of 365: Crazy...
So, above is a picture of the picture of the flat/building we have been hoping to get as our first place together.
Welll....tonight we met the landlady, and let me tell you....she's one sandwich short of a picnic.
Poor woman, she's old, blind, and a bit loony. She was telling Ian and I a story about how this woman comes banging on the door every day asking to come into the flat because she has no place to stay, and that the flat is really hers, etc. Plus, the landlady asked what time Ian and I get up in the morning and what time we work until, and even what time we go to sleep!
So either she was telling the truth about the nutty woman knocking on the door, or she's nutty herself (which I believe as well). After thinking about things on the drive home, we decided to pass.
Back to the search once again...

Day 230 of 365: Our House???
Ian and I went to IKEA tonight to start pricing and picking out things for when we get our own place.
Believe it or not, I SOOOOOO have been looking forward to doing this. Not just because we'll finally be getting our own place, but because I've always visioned Ian and I shopping for furniture together. It's what a marriage makes! lol
Thursday night we will be meeting our potential landlady to this giant flat we looked at near Winchester. Hope all goes well!

Day 229 of 365: Spooky....I Love Spook
Back to work for me today. Stomach is still feeling a bit wonky, but gotta press on.
So I want to get work ready for Halloween. Might work, might not. Spent time today looking up easy craft ideas to make with the residents. Found instructions to make this ghost windsock out of paper.
One resident said it looks like a squid.....*giggles*
Gotta love the elderly!

Day 228 of 365: Fire....*dun dun dun dun* Fire Fire
Guess you can't really sing in a blog title, can you? Oh well..I tried.
Anywho! Nothing really exciting today.
Ian and I took the hired car back to the airport (not Edinburgh, but Southampton). Then I drove us to ASDA to pick up a few things. Their Halloween isle was the biggest I have seen anywhere so far, but Ian pulled me away from it. Darn it! Thursday I will have to take a look....*evil laugh*
When we got in, Ian made us lunch and set this off:
Our smoke detector.
Ian always takes the piss out of me and my cooking because I've set it off once...but today payback was quite funny.
Also feeling a lot better today. My stomach is still slightly sore, and I'm a bit tired still, but should be good to go back to work tomorrow after I stop into the surgery first thing to drop something off.
Back to the pub quiz tonight!

Day 227 of 365: Up and At 'Em
Soooo....I'm feeling a little bit better today.
And since I had spent all day yesterday in bed, I thought today I needed to get out of it, but slowly.
Ian and I went into Winchester today to check out real estate agents. We looked in the windows and looked for places we want to look at since we're FINALLY looking for our own place.
Our goal is to be out by the end of the month. Woot! Hopefully it happens.
We have a viewing for one right around the corner from where I work on Monday. We drove to it today, and Ian checked it out from outside, but it looks like it MAY be a bit too small for us. Buuutt.....we're going to look anyways. Woo hoo!

Not our place....just a photo taken to 1) show what we did today and 2) help us remember to look up this place online to set up a viewing

Day 226 of 365: Happy Birthday to Me
Happy 28th Birthday to moi.
And how am I spending it? Laid up in bed because I have a fever and a viral infection.
Thankfully, I was able to phone the surgery this morning and sneak in an appointment. The Dr. felt around my belly a bit, I described symptoms, he said I have a fever, yada yada yada, and the conclusion was a viral infection from the Chinese food I ate Wednesday night in Hull. He also said that it could have been my appendix, so I have to monitor the pain in my stomach (which is right where my appendix is). If I don't get any better, off to A&E I go!
Sooooo.....I will lay in bed and hope that I can eat some soup or toast later on.
*dozes off singing "Happy Birthday" to herself*

Day 225 of 365: You Make Me Sick
Nooooooo photo today, will explain why.
So, today Ian and I were supposed to be heading to Middlewich to spend the next few days with Jamie and Alan.
Well, got a text from Jamie yesterday when we were at Roger's place to phone her.
She is ill. VERY ill.
So, Ian and I were going to stay at Roger's place tonight and tomorrow night, and go into York and Liverpool.
Well, I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pains. Went to the toilet a lot (will spare the gritty details).
Ian and I went into York thinking I would be fine, but that was stupid of me. I was in SOOOOOOOOOOO much pain. We went to Boots to get some Pepto Bismol, but that didn't help, and I ended up wretching it back up anyway.
So, since I am so ill, and Ian and I had no where to go (because everyone at Roger's house was at work), we decided to end the holiday early. Ian drove us back to Romsey during today while I tossed and turned in the backseat, and upchucked in the front while Ian drove until the sun went down.
Now, I'm laid up in bed feeling absolutely dreadful.....and missing my friends AND Liverpool. Bah!
