Nothing too exciting today. Went for a nice 2.5 mile walk with Ian today out in Chandler's Ford, and spoke with Jantina on the phone for a bit.
And we also got this aromatherapy thingie for Spike since I have failed to mention that the little guy has been spraying. Hopefully it'll work in stopping Spike from spraying, because I don't want to get rid of the boys. Spike seems really fine tonight though snuggled up between Ian and I.
But, photos of today....some pictures of flowers that the residents and I have grown from seeds at work:
And of course, as soon as I finished watering this morning, the really dark clouds rolled in and it even thunder stormed today!

Day 201 of 365: I See Trees of Green.....

....and other colors too?! Can you see the bit of yellow peeking through?
The leaves are changing already.
But I must say, I can't wait to see the trees changing. I'm going to be in awe while driving to work once it REALLY gets going.
So today was pretty uneventful at work, although the quote of the day is definitely from a resident. She had her birthday yesterday, and I was reading cards to her.
Since my b-day is next month, I asked her how old she thinks I will be. She said "Oh, I think 20." I said "Well, thank you, but I'll be 28!"
She then said very seriously, "Well, I've only seen you in the dark, really...."
I busted up laughing. Bless her! :)
Anyway....
So Ian and I tested out our walking boots today taking about a 2 mile walk around Romsey.

They were quite comfy.

Day 105 of 365: It's A Family Affair
Iiiittt'ssss Hump Day!
I don't care if you work or don't work, Hump Day is always a good day, because the weekend isn't far away.
Today was a bit of a crap day, actually. Tried to get ahold of the nursing home again and the guy I need to talk to was out AGAIN. Left my mobile number and asked if he could phone me back, but nothing. Bah.
Had a nice conversation with Jamie.
Had a much needed cry/talk with Ian when he got in from work.
Then Ian and I went out with his sister, K, and her husband Yog for his birthday. Was a nice evening out. Went to a pub called The Mayfly which is right on the Test River. Beautiful area. And would be absolutely GORGEOUS on a summer's day. Unfortunately, before we went out the temperature started to drop.

Day 98 of 365: Sometimes All I Need is the Air That I Breath and To Love You
Today was BORING!!! Well, for the most part anyway.
Woke up late. Watched some TV. Did three loads of laundry (which, I'm not allowed to actually leave the property when the wash is going because being Brits, Ian and Mum are afraid the house is going to catch on fire from the washing machine). So...I putzed online all day.
A guy from the housing council came by to look at a window that needs replacing.
Jamie called and we talked for two hours. The highlight of my day at that point.
Ian came home and we ventured out to find a place to walk. We wound up in a little area around here called Canada. No joke. We went to Canada.
Found Canada Commons which has a part of The New Forrest called West Wellow Common.
Just miles of small hills and bushes. And horses and donkeys skattered throughout. That's what I love most about the Forrest...just the wildlife roaming around.

Day 97 of 365: Doctor, Doctor...Gimmie the News

Went into Romsey today for a visit with my new doctor. She's real nice. Hopefully the new allergy meds she prescribed me will do wonders, since my nose is STILL stuffed up. Been this way for the past month.
And on a good note...I didn't have to pay a dime for my birth control pills. It's free here. WOOT!
Did a few errands with Mum before she seperated from me and came back home. Then I ventured around on my own. The baby ducks were out, swimming around without their Mum, so took a photo of them on my camera. SOOOO adorable.
